NW - Numeracy Project 2.0
Sioux City NWAEA November 10, 2025
Share
This professional learning on the Numeracy Project is designed to support teachers, teacher leaders, administrators, and consultants in understanding the progression of foundational numeracy skills. It offers a comprehensive framework for recognizing and guiding students’ development in numeracy, emphasizing a deep exploration of essential concepts and grade-specific content. The package includes a range of assessments—such as universal screeners, diagnostic tools, and progress monitoring instruments—that allow educators to evaluate students'' understanding accurately and tailor their instruction. Participants will learn how to connect and reinforce concepts within and across grade levels, creating a coherent learning progression that builds upon prior knowledge. This progression-based approach enables students to develop new insights based on established foundations, fostering continuity in learning. Additionally, high-quality intervention strategies are provided, aligned with assessment data and core instructional practices, to support students who need extra assistance, ensuring that all learners can achieve a solid grounding in numeracy.
