NW - Mentoring and Induction Year 1 Beginning Teachers
NWAEA Sept 25 2025

The state of Iowa requires a two year induction program for all new teachers. This program is intended to positively impact classroom instruction, increase student achievement, and sustain quality teachers in the education field. Each session introduces the Iowa Teaching Standards, provides training in researched-based strategies and quality first instruction, leads new teachers through the requirements of licensure, and gives an overview of Chapters 25 and 26 of Ethics for Educators. New teachers also dig into the Phases of a First Year Teachers Attitude Toward Teaching and learn classroom strategies and new ideas of how to take care of themselves through each phase.

Reminder if you would like graduate credit and your district is NOT paying for it, please enter your PO amount for $1000 FIRST then change your credit type and pay for the graduate credit separately.
