NW - Student Centered Coaching Cycle
Paullina August 25 2025 (South O Brien CSD only)




Participants will discover, practice, and implement the seven core practices for student centered coaching. These are:
1. Setting goals for coaching cycles
2. Using standards-based learning targets
3. Using student evidence to co-plan instruction
4. Organizing coaching through cycles
5. Co-teaching with a focus on effective instructional practices
6. Measuring the impact of coaching on student and teacher learning
7. Partnering with the school leader
The potential results for student learning include higher student achievement, and data-based proof of what students know and are able to do. It allows the teacher to evaluate student performance based on actual student work and then guides purposeful instructional practice.
